Day 18:: Heart-y & Hoarse

hearty1

We had some heart-y smoothies this morning and followed them this afternoon with some hearty nachos. I’m bound and determined to eat from the pantry and everything on the nachos came straight from the shelves of our pantry {except the cheese of course}: tortilla chips, black beans, rotel, and jalepenos… smother in cheese and broil on LOW. Just be sure to explain to your two-year old that jalepenos are “spicy” not “hot”. She picked one up and said, “not hot” and proceeded to put it in her mouth. It didn’t stay there long! I like to top mine with a big dollop of sour cream!

In JM news… the young man has nearly lost his voice. I assume it is a combo of drainage and screaming. But it’s sure to tug at my heart strings. Thankfully he’s sleeping soundly in his bed now and had another decent night last night! Thank you, Lord! Hope each of you are having a blessed weekend. We’ve been doing a whole lot of nothing and for that I am very grateful!

    Hmmm. Nachos look delicious!
    And look at the cute heart! That’s great. Jason is good at that stuff. He makes Mickey Mouse pancakes and thinks he is the king of the kitchen- which he is- so I just let him go with it. It’s never too early for Valentine’s Day!

    Hey, girl,
    I hope you got my text yesterday morning, and thank you for yours! It was a SWEET surprise, knowing how busy your Sunday mornings are!
    This is amazing…I NEVER crave smoothies, but last night, that’s all I really wanted for dinner! Ha! Well, after church, we went to Newk’s, and they don’t have smoothies, so I got a salad, but after seeing your blog, I may make myself a smoothies for my mid-afternoon snack today! 🙂
    Now, the nacho dish, oooooh, I could do that ANY time!! Looks like y’all are all over that one. Is Justin in town right now?
    Love you, girl.

    I had to repost my thoughts because I HATE spelling errors! I want to comment on your last post. I just wanted to say that your blog is perfect the way it is. You can’t please everyone, and sometimes that includes yourself. Your experiences are just that, yours and yours alone. I would be super proud if I built a super great fire! I am now going to build one too! I love your blog and your honesty. Just know that your family is sweet and your hearts are pure. I’m sure all your readers would agree. You guys are great. So, about your smoothies, please SHARE you recipe! Thanks a bunch!

    love you,
