Day 8:: Aprons

apron 1

I LOVE aprons. I love them because I don’t HAVE to wear them, I GET to wear them. Remember that vintage apron that I love? Well, this is a take on it. The hardest part about this apron was selecting the fabric {which I paired with a pink polka dot from Hobby Lobby}. And honestly that wasn’t hard at all. I’ve decided that while I’m on my “staycation” I will write a pattern for this apron… and while I’m at it, I’m going to write a pattern for a children’s version too. So, for those of you who are obsessed with BOGOFs this will be a BOGOF. {And while I’d like to give it away, I’ve decided to capitalize on this one… trust me, it will be worth the few dollars you have to pay!} I’ve not written a pattern before, a few tutorials, yes, but a pattern, no. Stay tuned my apron loving blog friends.

    Very cute! I’ve been looking for an apron since Christmas, but haven’t found one I liked enough to spend the money one. So glad your trip was fun! Y’all looked great.

    There’s no such thing as too many aprons, so count me in on this. I’ll buy whatever you’re selling – pattern and/or apron! 🙂

    As a fellow apron addict, I applaud your pretty creation. My little sister has just started making aprons with her new sewing machine and now all four of our kids [plus myself] have these great Amy Butler creations. Well, the boys have light green seersucker.

    P.S. I’m laughing at your “picture only posts” month. It’s too cute to see you saying a little more each time.

    Hi Darby! I’ve been reading your blog (LOVE IT!) for a while. You are blessed with talent!

    Love the apron. So happy and fun! I also applaud you and your “staycation.” Bravo!!!

    Now for my question, may I ask….where did you get your hardware for your cabinets? I’ve been looking and when I spotted yours it was like, “BINGO!” that’s what I want! 🙂

    Thanks!
