Good News & Bad News

Hello Rovers. Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Justin. He had a great birthday and an even better weekend away.

The good news is our weekend filled us to the brim…

Jmtns

snow

and I can’t wait to share more about that.

But, the bad news is we came home to a few sickies…
JM

We have one confirmed case of the “f” word {flu} and potentially two unconfirmed… which means our late nights this past weekend have not been made up for since arriving home. In fact, it’s been quite the opposite. As soon as I regain consciousness I’ll be back!

ps- Our chenille duvet in this post came from Linen Source. It’s a king duvet in white… and we love it. {Thanks, Sister & Miki!}

Can’t wait to hear more about your trip. Funny: This morning at the Y while walking, I said to my friend *Darby hasn’t posted in a while. I hope everything is ok.* She said* Oh yeh, her and Justin were going out of town for their anniversary*. So funny, it felt like we were talking about a friend….well, you really are kinda!!! 🙂

This stuff is going around – everyone here in Huntsville is sick: flu, RSV, colds, streph (sp?). Kate and I are staying in and away from the germs! Hang in there, friend – give those babies lots of love! And, happy birthday/anniversary/vacation getaway – love some vacation time!

Oh goodness. That’s just the sort of thing that makes you take another five years before braving a weekend getaway! Sure hope the other two rovers get passed over by the flu bug, and that you all get some well-needed rest.

That picture of Rover is AWESOME! Sorry the fam is sick. Two of mine had the flu this weekend, but the rest of us (six of us) passed it up with smoothies that had ginger, slippery elm and aloe extract. Hope that helps. I avoided major pukes and probably dozens of loads of laundry… Feel better soon!

Love the Rover picture. I am still laughing at it. Looks like he might be saying something else that starts with an “f” or maybe singing a Bon Jovi song. Ha!

oh, poor kiddo. I see he drew on his belly with a marker? Looks a LOT like my two year old’s legs did recently… washable my eye!!! It takes forever to get that stuff off!

Love your top two pics…just beautiful! 🙂

    Hope he feels better soon!

i absolutely love seeing marker on your child’s stomach, it takes me back quicker than you can imagine…i spent many preschool days looking at my kids covered in marker. thank goodness it came off so easily in the bathtub! 😀 i also have 2 girls and a boy spaced out like yours…one of the reasons i love reading your blog. mine are now teenagers and i cherish the memories of when they were this age. Thanks Darby.

Thank you so much for the source of your duvet. I had a beautiful white chenille bedspread for years and it was my husband’s favorite. Years ago during a move it disappeared. We think we left it inside a dryer we donated. Seeing your post reminded me of that bedspread and I went to Linen Source and ordered one this morning! Thanks!!!

I loved all the pictures of “big kids” in the snow…it reminded me of trips my husband and I took to Big Bear Lake with friends years ago! It always seemed when we took time for a little couple time, we would come back to sick babies, but that passes…as for the gorgeous duvet cover…I ordered one in Robin’s Egg Blue for my daughter’s old room…she has a beautiful apartment across town, but spends the night if we stay up too late on Mama’s Movie night…I also had one when I was a little girl…and pulled the chenille tufts out in my sleep…my poor bedspread looked like it had bald spots…boy did my Mama fuss over it!! I pray for you and Mommasis daily…even though today is a rare day I get to leave a comment. Bless you all always!
