As I gathered our belongings for t-ball and laced up Morgan’s cleats I asked, “Girls, where is Rover? I thought he was in here playing with you.”
“We don’t know where he is!”
So I looked high and low.
And then I found him.
Looks like he put shaving cream everywhere but where he needed it… I spy a 5 o’clock shadow on his upper lip. Needless to say, we were a little late to t-ball.
Red Rover, Red Rover someone please send the clean up crew right over.

April 13, 2010 at 9:02 pmOh my word…he is covered! What a doll, I’m glad you captured that moment on your camera. Mine recently ate crayons (!!) and I wish I had taken a photo, but at the time I was shocked and focused on keeping her crayon covered hands off of my upholstered furniture!

April 13, 2010 at 9:51 pmHow cute! When my oldest daughter, Tyler, was about two, I found her covered head-to-to with almost a whole container of that really thick Eucerin cream. It was also all over her carpet. That was not fun to get out!! At least shaving cream should wash off easily!

April 14, 2010 at 12:16 amhaha, that seems to be one thing all little ones have to do one time in their life, at least he did it in the shower, you ‘only’ had to turn the water on.
when my twin girls were about two years old they spilled a whole bottle of johnson babyshampoo on the lino bathroom floor, it took all my towels and cloths to clean it up. it just wouldn’t stop foaming and was slippery like an ice rink. now with hindsight i think it’s funny, i wasn’t so amused at the time.
cute photo anyway…

April 14, 2010 at 7:29 amToo cute! I always wonder what you (or any mom) tells their kids when they do something bad but want to take a picture. I’ve thought about what I’d do as a mom… I think I’d say “I have to take a picture to show Santa how naughty you were!” heheh.

April 15, 2010 at 12:19 amI could write this same post and title it, “We completely missed Sunday School” but my little guy decided to empty the container of green soap all over the floor, his OUTFIT, and into his eyes. I think Jesus forgave us for being late. We DID make it to church afterall… and we needed it. 🙂

April 15, 2010 at 11:32 amThat’s the past three years of my life, right there. I’ve had an ongoing series on my blog called “Adventures of a Bad Baby”. It’s amazing the stuff he’s found to get into!
Now that he’s three, the messes are slowing a bit thank goodness.
Except for last week when he put rocks in the gas tank of our car… but other than that it’s getting better… Ha!

April 15, 2010 at 1:50 pmHey there. I have read your blog for a while now, and I love it, but have never left a comment. I actually live in the FL panhandle which is how I found your sister’s website and then yours. I have twin girls, 5 yrs. I just registered them for 1st grade and requested separate classes. Now I am feeling awful about it, but I know it is for the best. I know this is random, but I was hoping to get some advice from you. You and your sis seem so close which is what I want for mine, but I want them to be individuals too. Ugh. Why doesn’t parenting come w/ a handbook!? Sorry for the random post, esp. since it is my first! Your children are absolutely adorable. I love reading about your going-ons! Have a great weekend!!

April 15, 2010 at 8:42 pmOh, the memories! Almost 8 years ago, I had a 22 month old and a newborn. While I was nursing, the ‘big boy’ emptied an almost full bottle of Johnson’s baby lotion. His little brown legs and arms and belly and blond hair and carpet were covered! I had enough sense about me to grab my camera and capture it. I can smile when I look at the sheepish look on his face even though I was exasperated that day. Enjoy them and the chaos.
