Mornin’ Rovers! I’ve missed y’all. Thanks, Marla for being a rockstar step-in for me, I loved your advice and selections!

This is a post that will likely be a quick dump of my fried brain.

I woke up at 3:30 am this morning ready to take on the day. I would like to tell you what I think about jet lag but every word that comes to mind has 4 letters in it, so, I’ll refrain. It took us nearly 24 hours to get home from Italy… 16 of which were in one plane and 4 of those were on the runway.Β  Erika had the pleasure of sitting next to a priest {for allΒ  16 hours} who would occasionally do a big cough and then spit the treasure into a napkin, only missing the napkin once. If you know Erika and her tolerance for things of this nature you will find this amusing.Β  Sister, I’m sure Father CoughsBigLoogies sends his condolences. I also have a new name for Erika… Waldo. I took about 1,500 pictures in Italy and Waldo {or Waldo’s backside} is in about 1,498 of them. We looked through my pictures {slide-show style on the tv} last night and I would refer to her as Waldo. Paige asked me if that was MommaSissy’s middle name. But I can confidently assure you all of the travel torture was worth it, both getting there and arriving home to the little rovers. They all grew 5 inches and hardly missed me at all! While my body tries to figure out what I’ve done to it I’m going to edit those pictures and see if I can find Waldo in all of them.

Be back soon…

    Hi!
Love your blog! Feel like I know you in a strange way. My man thinks its especially strange when I talk about you like you’re one of my friends or something. We are planning a trip to Italy in the fall and would love any flying tips you may have (i.e., it’s better to leave at night so you can sleep on the plane, etc.)because i’m concerned about jet lag. I told my man I was going to ask you and he said, “seriously???”. So, if you get a minute I would appreciate the advice and the chance to tell him we “talked”. πŸ™‚
    Thanks!

Forget travelling light! We have to match :). Before I had a family, I travelled the world. So fun. If it’s the Lord’s will, I will get to travel again one day, but until then it’s fun to life vicariously through you. Thanks for sharing!
