January 10, 2011 at 6:48 pmSO CUTE!!!!! My kids crack me up too because they think that every team that is orange and blue is Auburn. (No matter how much I try to explain it to them that the blues are different.) We live in FL and are surrounded by Gator fans and every time we go in the grocery store they see the big UF display on top of the freezer section and they yell, “Mommy look!!! They’re saying Go Auburn!!!” They used to call every Gator flag they saw Crocodile Dock”” after a VBS our church did a few years ago. I never bothered to correct them. I prefer they think those people love VBS over Gators. Is that so wrong? WAR EAGLE!!!!!

January 10, 2011 at 7:51 pmLove it. Daddy Boy loves Auburn so it works perfectly. My husband and baby boy (he’s 24!) are there and just texted me that both got in the game. They went without tickets which was very risky, but it all has worked out in the end. Now for the win and it will be a perfect ending to a fairy tale story! War Eagle!

January 10, 2011 at 9:29 pmJM is the most precious little boy child! I can’t say I’ll be cheering on your Auburn Tigers – I’m a proud Alabama student! But I must confess that the Tiger shirt and your youngest Auburn fan are absolutely adorable!

January 10, 2011 at 9:36 pmIsn’t it fun to indoctrinate our children early with loyalty to their future Alma Maters? 🙂 He is such a doll!
I actually live about 5 blocks from the Stadium here is AZ where the game is currently being played. Lots of traffic and fan loyalty going on around here today. I’m neutral 🙂 so good luck!

January 10, 2011 at 9:38 pmSOOO CUTE! Now- I have to admit- I am not an Auburn fan- Im a CT girl and grew up with a college basketball watching family- but my dear husband is watching the game tonight- I just sat down on the couch and noticed who was playing- and remarked “oh- WAR EAGLE!”- he was confused- with the whole Tiger mascot and all- so i figured Id go to your blog to show him how a true Auburn fan talks:) Hope they win! Ill be cheering them on as I post tonight:)

January 10, 2011 at 10:46 pmOkay Darby, I have to say that I very much love every post you do, but this is one that I have to say I do not agree with 😉 I just have to say “GO DUCKS!” All right in all honesty I don’t actually follow football, but I am an Oregonian and feel its my duty to support when needed. I will say, JM was super cute in that video and almost converted me…almost.

January 12, 2011 at 11:31 amWar Eagle!! Such a great game. I love reading your blog!! Thanks for sharing your family, faith and life. Quick question (if you have time to answer)—I am throwing my daughter a tea party for her birthday and remember that you did that as well and I am trying to find your post on it to get ideas but can’t remember when it was. Would you mind sending me that post (or just the month you posted it in)?? I remember you saying it was such a sweet time and would love to grab some suggestions/ideas from that post!! Thanks, Anna
Christy
January 12, 2011 at 1:21 pmWhat a cutie!
Congrats on the big win! I have to admit that even though my sister’s entire family was sporting the yellow & green & rooting for the Ducks I was rooting for Auburn (we are in Phoenix). How carzy is that? *lol*

January 13, 2011 at 1:16 pmI too live in Oregon and knew that Oregon was playing and that you had a LOVE for your team, but it took me a while to put together that they were playing each other (obviously I don’t follow football). All I remembered about your team was “War Eagle” and when my husband said that Oregon was playing Auburn I thought it sounded familiar and I said, “Oh, the War Eagles”. First he laughed at me and said, “No, they’re tigers!” Well, I had to pull up your blog and show him! Congrats on the win by the way. Although we are born and raised in Oregon, we’re Nevada alumni (who won a bowl game this year!) and much more Beaver Believers than Ducks.
