The Wreath, The Chandy & The Bedskirt

Because BLOGGER doesn’t attach your email addresses with your comments I have no way to get in touch with some of y’all… so,

The Wreath:

Came from Marshall’s {about 5 years ago…} It’s faux bittersweet. Lots of little teeny tiny orange styrofoam balls.

The Chandy:
Is wooden. It came from Ebay {via: MommaSissy} and she paid a whopping $16… the shipping got her though. It’s huge & heavy. I had it rewired to be safe. My understanding is that it’s from the early 1960’s. I put silk spun light bulbs in her… they resemble flames when dimmed. I love her because she’s unique and there probably aren’t many people out there with her hanging over their dining table.

The bed skirt:
Was a custom job. It’s made of linen and lined. It’s constructed of wide box pleats.

If I missed anything ask away and I’ll do my best to respond! Some days are easier than others! 🙂

Your bedskirt is lovely… one of my signature items :). I do wonder though if we did open corners for a reason? See if there is a cornerpiece tucked up under it – there should be – that way you don’t see the box springs.
love you and all your pretties.

Hi Darby, I’m over from my brother’s blog, Josh Andrews. I grew up in Dothan and went to school with Jennifer. You are incredibly talented – I love all of your renovations. Random question: Are you happy with your Viking sewing machine? I’ve started doing a few crafty things and would love to learn to sew. I look forward to reading and seeing more. Take care, Alana

Just so you know, blogger does allow reply to email addresses, but your readers/commenters have to choose that option in Dashboard- Edit Profile- Show my email address.

When someone leaves you a comment, that has chosen that option, you can reply directly to that comment that is sent to your email.

I have a MAJOR bittersweet obsession. I loved mine so much from last fall, that it stayed up all year. I want that wreath and I want it bad…Too bad its five years old…maybe I’ll try eBay.

Jeremiah had a great time Friday night. I am mainly thankful that no fingers were lost and sad that we didn’t get to see each other in the craziness of seeing all the family and celebrating Mary Aplin’s bday. Maybe next time…

So, this is really a response to a post from a while ago, but I feel compelled to say THANKS! to you. As a full time mom who also works 4days a week outside the home, I am always looking for quicker, easier dinner options. At your suggestion (since you didn’t steer me wrong with Bay’s english muffins), I tried Wanchai Ferry’s Spicy Garlic chicken last night. We really enjoyed it…and the decreased likelihood of biting into yucky chicken. Thanks for sharing…I think I am on to Granny Kat’s pumpkin roll next!
