December Sponsors

 IOTCcollage_637

I’m excited that Icing on the Cookie has joined the sponsors this month! As I sit here in my jammies, teeth already brushed, I’m wishing I had a cup of coffee and a pile of their cookies in hand!

In addition to their website, Icing on the Cookie has a store located on Central Avenue in Homewood, Alabama.  (2907 Central Avenue, Suite 101; Birmingham, AL 35209)  Phone number is 205-871-9852.  Website: www.icingonthecookie.net and email: orders@icingonthecookie.net

Shelby and Katie Adams along with Matt and Anna Cate Little opened “Icing on the Cookie” in October 2009.   Matt, Anna Cate and Katie were college  friends from the University of Georgia and have found themselves back together in Birmingham, AL.  Katie married Shelby, who is a chef by trade, and after realizing there was nothing like it in Birmingham, “Icing on the Cookie” was born!  All four of are in the store daily and enjoy helping their customers put a special touch on their celebrations!  They have ten flavors of regular cookies, cookies cakes and our customized iced sugar cookies are the perfect complement to any special event. Whether it’s a baby shower, birthday, sporting event, wedding, holiday, corporate event, graduation, fundraiser, or simply a unique gift, they have a cookie that will match any imaginable theme. They promise that all of their cookies taste as good as they look! All of the goodies are packaged with extreme care so that they stay fresh and they ship them to you wherever you are! They have over 300 different cookie cutters, so if you don’t see what you want, just ask, it’s likely that they have it! And they’re offering a great special this month {scroll down to see}!

I love that you love Red Mountain. Christine Dow got me hooked on them many years ago 🙂

OK after two shout outs so close to me, I’ve got to comment! I hope you can visit RMC one day- I go to church there and it’s wonderful. Also, to anyone who reads this…those cookies are some of the best I’ve ever had…not to mention they’re adorable!
Darby, I love your blog (along with many of my friends)! I wonder if it ever weirds you out how popular you are!? The other night a bunch of us were out at dinner and two of my friends were sharing their love for the blog and a husband chimed in, “omg are we talking about Darby?!” I almost wet my pants- ridiculous. But it’s great to see your projects and hear about your faith, and of course, your children are SOOO cute 🙂

Wha???? How do I live in Homewood, drive down Central Avenue all the time, and NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY? Thanks for sharing. I also want to say thanks for your music recommendations from the last post. I attended Red Mountain Church for a couple years, and although we have found another church home, I still buy their CDs every time they come out. I am eager to check out Nathan Clark George’s music.

In case anyone is a Sandra McCracken fan, she has a new Christmas hymn out on Noise Trade – it is lovely: http://www.noisetrade.com/sandramccracken

Must agree with Mary…my hubby thinks I’m ridiculous when he looks over my shoulder and sees me reading the blog..he says, “you don’t even know her!!!” and my defense is that I don’t have to know you, Darby. You make me feel as if it is possible to be a high-quality mother, wife, Christian, and creative individual all simultaneously! You’re a true inspiration.

“Icing on the Cookie” cookies really are THE best cookies. They are like little cakes that melt in your mouth. I bought a dozen for football season and they were perfect. I can’t wait to buy some for Christmas. I’m so glad to see that they are sponsors of the month!!!
