I’ve been married 6 years and have only had the privilege of having my house cleaned by another human being after we moved out of each house we’ve ever lived in.
Thankfully that was not the case today!
My mother-in-law very graciously offered (& paid) her cleaning lady to spend her time here this morning rather than her house! (Seriously, how nice is that!? Especially if you’re VERY pregnant!)
My house is clean & I didn’t have to do it!
I firmly believe if my children knew how difficult it is for mommy to get to the ground to pick up toys they would put them all away when they were done playing.
In addition to having a clean house… we’ve had a great day and had the pleasure of entertaining our dear friend’s daughter and her friends for a “Swim Party” for her 12th Birthday! I had such fun watching them and painfully cannot remember my 12th birthday… or where I even lived! Erika?

oh my gosh, how nice is your mother-in-law?!! That was such a sweet gesture. Kick your feet up and enjoy your clean house this sunny weekend!

that sounds like the nicest gift EVER!!! what a sweet mom in law!! I sure do love a clean house, but I sure don’t like to clean it myself, that pobably means I really love the signs!! Ha! clean house wasted life!

We lived in Anchorage… our 12th or 13th bday was probably a swim party too.
Glad your house is clean! Such a wonderful treat!

That is awesome! My friends got me a housekeeper after the 2nd baby for 2 whole months! I loved it so much, I kept her. She comes every other week…it is truly a God send.

It must be so cool to have a twin. I love it that you two can check in with each other on birthdays, and all major life events because you experienced them all at the same time!
Enjoy your tidy abode. That’s an investment worth having for the next couple of years, even if it is only once a month or so. Trust me…as a mom of 4…having an extra set of hands really helps out more than you may realize.
Maybe you could even work out a trade with someone at church who cleans…you make a couple of dresses for their child or grandchild and they do a little cleaning. 🙂 Heck, if I lived nearby I would do it for some of those gorgeous dresses you’ve made!
