February Sponsors

Hello!  I’m here to share a little more info on this month’s sponsors. Before I begin I want to give a little background as to why I do this {allow advertisements on my blog}. First, I will say that it has been an absolute pleasure to meet and correspond with each of the ladies over the last few months. I appreciate their hard work and their creativity. I’m honored to be able to share this place with them. Second, it is a financial blessing to our family. Third, it is blessing to me to in some way support those who are working from home in their endeavors to stay home with their children while still bringing in financial support. I’ve told them and I may not have ever made it clear on here that I do not offer giveaways from sponsors, the reason for that is multifaceted. One reason being, I don’t want to change the overall feel of the blog. Second being, several giveaways a week is not something that I think would be beneficial to the blog. I also do not mention them more than once a month. At the beginning of each month I have devoted one post to the sponsors. As many of you know, with Google Reader and other blog reading applications many people read without ever coming to my actual site. It is my pleasure to make their presence known through one post a month. I will always make it clear that it is a post written about the sponsors… and so here it is… a post devoted to my sponsors! Thank you, ladies for your information and support!!

::jaC Jewelry::

 In Janna’s own words: I design and make unique jewelry for any occasion. I also design bridal and bridesmaids’ jewelry to match the bride’s and bridesmaids’ dress color and style.  My one-of-a-kind and limited edition designs feature sterling silver or gold-plated metals and natural and handmade components, including freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones and lampwork beads.  I love to add a splash of color to my pieces; in addition to the classic blacks, whites and browns, I carefully select a variety of colors such as bright reds, deep purples and lustrous greens that portray a certain feeling and allow you to express how you feel that day.  I look forward to sharing my passion with you!

She loves trying to find the unexpected yet beautiful way of mixing all of those to create a look that’s unique. She tries to be environmentally conscious and use recycled materials as much as possible. And she, of course, strives to give excellent customer service.

::EngLady::

EngLady jewelry combines modern fashion with a hint vintage charm. Katherine lovingly creates each piece using hand-selected gemstones or freshwater pearls with sterling silver. A romantic at heart, her designs are inspired by beauty in its many forms, whether it is an impressionist’s painting, an architectural detail, a stormy sea, or an unfurling flower. She gravitates towards versatile pieces that work equally well for a casual day or a special evening, and this preference is reflected in

Kendall paints large format paintings with molding paste and acrylic.  Sometimes she uses a heavy varnish and many times she throws coffee grinds on the canvas! She is inspired by memories so unless she is painting a painting for someone specifically, she usually doesn’t know what the outcome will be until she is finished.

    I love your blog! It is my favorite one and I read a lot of them. I have never commented before but I am now. I love,love,love that you don’t do giveaways!!! It is so commercial and just a turn off to me. I am probably in the minority here but I am so happy that you don’t do them! I read them for inspiration. My daughter bought the book you recommended and loves it! I can’t wait to read it when she is done. Her little boy is the same age as your Rover(and just as spirited) and I have three children two older girls and the youngest is a boy just like you. A lot in common and we love your stories, photos, recipes, decorating and inspiration!

    I think it’s great you have advertisers…it is soooooo hard to find things to do that make money when your number one priority is your family. I envy your ability to make money in this way.

    Your hunch was correct. The photos did not appear in my google reader, so I visited the actual site for the first time in a long while. Great way to expose your financial supporters. It worked for me!

    I have to agree with Victoria above. I love reading your blog (found it via Erica’s over a year ago, I think). One thing I truly love about it, other than your honetsly & realness is that it does not feel commercial! You have enough of a following I am sure that you could indeed do so, but you don’t & I respect that. I have actually stopped reading or just skim through some of my “old” favorites bc they are so commercial & shove the advertisers down your throat.

    My lil’Rover (now 6) reminds me so much of JM, he’s a blonde too. 🙂
