Someone asked me if we had any “takers” on the pine cones… we’ve had many little feathered friends partake and I’ve already “re-loaded”. Here’s what we’ve spotted in the last few days:
Titmice {pictured above}
Mockingbirds
Carolina Chickadees {which look like black-capped chickadees}
Wrens
Nuthatches {brown headed}
House Finches
Cardinals {although they’ve just been waiting on the ground for seeds to drop}
Eastern Towees {not on the feeders but we spotted a few in the yard and we love these little guys}
Our front yard has been inundated with Robins and they’re welcome to stay there because they poop everywhere.

Do you ever have days/weeks where you feel like you can finish nothing? This week has been like that, here’s what I’ve sought to finish but haven’t:
-making a nightgown for Raiger
-writing apron tutorials
-laundry
-sorting through toys for yard sale
-pricing for yard sale
But guess what? There is one thing I’ve had NO PROBLEM FINISHING:
There was one in there when I snapped the picture… but now it’s gone too! 🙂 And earlier this week… I managed to force the Samoas down too! Those durn GIRL SCOUTS! Which one’s your favorite?
Tara
February 26, 2009 at 2:48 pmDefinitely Somoas and Thin Mints!
Also – on a previous post you mentioned liking Fernando Ortega. Have you listened to his song “Give Me Jesus”? It’s amazing. Vince Gill has also covered it and it’s incredible too.
Have a great day!
Amanda
February 26, 2009 at 2:49 pmI feel you on the girl scout cookies! Thin Mints and Samoas are a tie!

LOOK WHO'S MARRIED!!!!
February 26, 2009 at 2:57 pmI hate that you can eat boxes and boxes of Girl Scout Cookies and remain SO THIN. I look at a box and gain 5 lbs.
The Gunters
February 26, 2009 at 3:04 pmThat reminds me…we ordered some from a sweet neighborhood girl and we haven’t gotten them yet! My favorites are the Tagalongs and Samoas and I love Thin Mints frozen. (I’ve never really met a Girl Scout cookie I didn’t like!)YUM!
I always joke about solicitors that come to our door that unless they’re selling Girl Scout cookies, I’m not interested. 😉

February 26, 2009 at 3:28 pmI’m convinced the girl scouts sprinkle some sort of addictive substance on their cookies! Samoas are the best!!

February 26, 2009 at 3:29 pmHave you had the tagalong ice cream? I am such a sucker for chocolate & peanut butter – almost as good as the Ben & Jerry's "Chubby Hubby".
Megan
February 26, 2009 at 3:34 pmMy husband has been out of town for 2 days and I managed to start and finish a whole box of Samoas. My defense: the number of cookies in the box is less than any other Girl Scout cookie.
I hope you enjoyed yours as much as I enjoyed mine.

February 26, 2009 at 3:39 pmSAMOAS! Love me some samoas! I didn’t order any as so I wouldn’t be too tempted, but I am sure I will pick some up along the way. 🙂

February 26, 2009 at 3:44 pmSomoas and Thin Mints are my favorites as well! Mmmm… I could eat several boxes in one sitting! I haven’t bought any yet, but once they pop up outside of publix I’m sure I won’t be able to resist…

February 26, 2009 at 4:26 pmI am seriously addicted to Samoas. I am so glad they GS only sell cookies once a year!!

February 26, 2009 at 8:28 pmLOVE those Girl Scout Cookies… I have to go with Thin Mints as my favorite- especially if you keep them in the freezer. Delightful!
Make sure you take a picture of the nightgown you make for Raiger. I’d like to make matching ones for my girls when Gracie gets bigger!

February 26, 2009 at 8:50 pmSomoas are my fave! Have you tried the Edy’s ice cream with Somoas? It comes around around girl scout time for limited time.

March 3, 2009 at 12:48 pmMy husband and I joke that the Girl Scouts were sent by satan to tempt us all during Lent when so many of us give up sweets.
That being said, IS there a girl scout cookie that I don't like?
I agree with Tara & Amanda, and will throw in tagalongs as another fave.
