Happy Saturday, friends! I hope the sun is shining on you this morning. It is here and I’ve been digging through my archives which has resulted in a heart that has been filled this morning with sweet memories of my children during the summer months… just thought I’d share a few.

March 13, 2010 at 10:03 amI thought it was just my children growing up that made me cry, but yours do too. They are all so gorgeous. You are always inspiring me and I take tons of photos, I just don’t always do anything with them. Happy Saturday!

March 13, 2010 at 10:49 amYour pack of rovers is just too sweet for words. I love, I believe it is raiger’s cute pink bather in the first pic and how seriously she seems to be taking her boat driving duties. Talk about precious cargo! And you can just tell how in love John Martin is with his grandma in that stroller picture. Too too sweet.

March 13, 2010 at 3:39 pmHow funny, since I was just watching a video this morning from 4 years ago, when my oldest was almost 3 and his brother was 16 months old. It makes me cry to think how quickly that time flew by! Thankfully I have 2 more now to cherish every minute with. Your babies are beautiful. That’s Paige in the bowl, isn’t it? She’s got your eyes! š
Sarah@Clover Lane
March 13, 2010 at 4:07 pmOh GOSH!!! I love looking at my kid’s baby pictures although I get just about the worst heartache. All it does is make me want a baby…your children are gorgeous…and you maybe need to have another too???? š

March 13, 2010 at 5:53 pmLoved seeing your children younger. They are so precious and I don’t blame you for being nostalgic. When my children were small a friend whose opinion I respected said that I dressed my children so nice. It has been a long time and I have not forgotten her kind comment. I think that you dress your children beautifully and you design and make most of their clothes and I certainly admire that too.

March 13, 2010 at 10:38 pmRove in a bowl is too cute! Make sure to have that picture at his rehearsal dinner :^) I know what you mean about TV – we do one show in the morning (30-minutes tops) and then that is it – no more, it is off. It amazes me how it completely consumes small ones – that can’t be good, right?
Mandy
March 14, 2010 at 1:15 amGreat pics! I love looking back! It really helps remind you not to take this time for granted. I bet it feels just like yesterday to you that these pictures were taken!

March 15, 2010 at 8:45 amDo you remember I was just recently asking you about those white dresses with the big, red, curley “S” I LOVE those little outfits and the little rovers in them š Glanced through the comments and saw that a lot of people thought that was JM instead of Paige in the suds bowl. I did a double-take before I realized. I never thought they looked that much alike before. Guess I was wrong š Hope yall had a good weeked
Wendy
March 15, 2010 at 9:32 amLove all the pictures…especially the one of Paige in the bowl! I don’t know you, but I could tell it was her by the eyes.
Just curious, how do you get your kids to look so natural in their pictures? It looks like you don’t stage your photos, but even when they are looking at the camera with a smile, the smile still looks natural and normal. My daughters are 14 and 8 and still to this day, unless I say something funny or tell them to say “puppy” or “cheese” before I take a picture, I get the fake smile look that drives me crazy.

March 15, 2010 at 11:48 amwhat is the colour in your little boy’s bedroom? i’d love to use it for my unisex nursery š

March 15, 2010 at 12:11 pmYour kids are so cute! I try to hold off with the questions until I see something I just have to have or know.
I am wondering about your strollers. I see you have 2 umbrella strollers connected together. Do you know where I can find the connections? I have 2 girls. 2 years old and 8 months. Did you like having those? Was it easier to use than a double stroller? Thanks š

March 16, 2010 at 3:18 pmWhat a cute trip down memory lane! I did a lot of the same this weekend — I spent a good deal of time looking through old photo albums and remembering when my sweet kids were sweet babies!

March 17, 2010 at 2:52 pmFor a fun word game with kids, try Scrabble Slam. Playing cards are just like scrabble letters. You begin with a four letter word, such as “game” then players try to get rid of all their cards by putting down only one card at a time, changing the word by one letter at a time. GAME could become SAME or NAME or TAME, etc., and so on. SAME might become SALE. SALE can change to SOLE, then to HOLE. It’s great for practicing phonograms, but very FUN! Warning: Kids are great at this. Parents: be prepared to be humbled. š
