45 In Life

Merry Christmas!

We’ve safely arrived last night in wintery Illinois for a week of fun with family! The last week has been a complete whirlwind, and we are so thankful for a week of rest and relaxation! Merry Christmas to you all!

A big thank you to Beth & Anna at Viv-Vah-Chey for our Christmas cards this year!!

This if my favorite version of Come Thou Long Expected Jesus by Red Mountain Music… if you have time to listen, please do!

Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel’s Strength and Consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear Desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.

Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.

    Ahhhh MAN >8-/! 21 year old disaster-zone son lost his ChristmasMorning HoneyBeeTee before wearing it even once (he did love it. He said so), so I’m thinkin’ your John Martin should have some stern words for our Jon Michael.

    Oh how I wish I had known about the Red Mountain Church music before Christmas day!! I absolutely love this song, and have now listened to all their songs via youtube! Makes me want to listen to Christmas music all year!! Merry Christmas to your sweet family!! Enjoy your time away with your family, it is a wonderful thing to be able to do and something I myself took for granted until now, when I cannot be with the whole family at the holidays!! Isaiah 9:6

    Random question: My husband and I just bought our first place, a ranch style home on a concrete slab….is that what your house is? We have to do the glue down hardwood floors because of the slab and I was wondering if that is what yall had to do? Do you like them? Would you mind telling me what you think of them? Plus I love the stain of your floors…is it gunstock color? Thanks so much and I just always love reading your blog!
