They’re gone… so I’m off!

Wow, y’all have once again encouraged me by letting me know that I’m not the only one on the planet that occasionally can’t stand disagrees with her husband! I have a feeling by the overwhelming response in the comments section that a lot of you stay at home mom’s would like to trade roles w/ your hubby for a couple days! {Not that our husbands don’t appreciate us… I’m certain if we attempted their jobs we’d gain much appreciation of them too!} I often wish I had a “typepad” blog because I’d like to respond to each of your comments individually… unfortunately blogger doesn’t have such a feature so I don’t know how to find 1/2 of you! Maybe I’ll move… I’ve thought about it numerous times… especially since our name is plastered across our blog for any creep to come find us… it’s not like we’re the Smith’s or something. Ok, now I’m just thinking out loud.

The girls are at Mother’s Morning Out this morning and thankfully were taken there by their GiGi {aka Justin’s mother} so I’m going to attempt to take John Martin on a few errands. It seems like it’s been ages {really did I just say that…. it’s not even been a year and half} since I had to haul around a baby car seat carrier… perhaps I’ll put that new sling to good use!! I’ve had minimal sleep, a Diet Coke and a sleeve of Fig Newtons… I think I’m good to go! I want Erika to come visit me and bring her camera… I really thought my pictures were good… until I’ve seen hers. Erika, I will post no more pictures of the children until you come and see them in person {and take some pictures with your new mac-daddy camera}!

Darby, it’s so funny you mention the bit about your name being plastered all over your blog. Since I just made my own, and was super inspired by yours, I felt nervous about putting my name and didn’t bc my hubby wouldn’t let me. ok, so now i’m rambling, but I was comforted thinking you were cool with being so open and now that I hear your nervous about creeps it makes me nervous too!:-) Anyway, have no real point but I really appreciate your being so open and I love reading your blog. Have fun running errands with your new little bundle of boy love.

oh thank you whoever thought of mother’s morning out!! i will be thrilled when ours start back the week of labor day!

we attempted the first “out to eat being out numbered” at lunch today. the building was still standing and we didn’t have to spank anyone in public…and i didn’t get anything on my shirt from holding little sister the whole time (cause she HATES her car seat!)

and don’t feel bad…i told my ever so sweet hubby the other day he didn’t know his hiney from a hold in the ground when he was giving directions. (and this was the 2nd time lately he can’t seem to give someone directions to our own house!!)

    good luck on those errands!

Sometimes when you have that third one, you look back and say- wow, I could have gotten a lot more done with just two! Then you have a fourth, and you just say- everybody pile in the car- we are going to the grocery store- you have so many children with you that you don’t care what other people think because you don’t know anybody else is there- you will be handing toys to one child, telling another to keep their hand on the buggy, telling another one to stop bothering his sister, all while saying no we can’t have cookie cereal for breakfast in the morning. The worst part is- I get home and realize I have forgotten one thing, and it will more than likely be the one thing you need for dinner that night-ahhhhh! Like the country song says- You’re gonna miss this! I miss JM’s age so much- we are all so blessed!

Darby, I am a stalker of your blog, but it is way too cute not to stalk. I love reading about the adventures of your family…you are so creative and I admire all the things you get done–I only have 2 (1 that is 5 and 1 that is 23mos.) and woooh, I can’t get anything done!! Goodluck with adjusting to 3 and keep us updated!! Shea Ford-Opelika, Al

Enjoy your time with just one child! Isn’t is crazy how it makes having one seem so easy!!!

And yes, sometimes I do wish I could have a “job” sometimes but then I am sure after two days I would want to be back with my children. I honestly can’t imagine being anywhere else but home… but I have my days! 🙂

You should check out http://www.thelilypod.com. It is a company owned by a friend of mine. It might help you with that car seat carrier issue.

I thought my daughter was “all that” with her new doctor kit we just got at Seaside but it’s in primary colors and now I know there’s one out there in pastels!!! Life is so hard sometimes.
