Good Thanksgiving Morning, rovers! I hope this finds you well. We are safe & sound at the farm in chilly, rainy southern Illinois. It’s been so good to veg for a couple days, especially after you all tried to kill me over the weekend with your t-shirt orders. 🙂 Seriously, thank you for all your support of the shop. I’ve {obviously} have a hard time estimating inventory and how much to order, etc. You all can clear it out in no time flat and I hope to improve my estimating skills soon! I reordered the same day I updated the shop with the new Christmas tees. They should be waiting for me when I return so if you missed out, please check back.
Our drive up was uneventful, except for a little noise from the Rover. We braved it without a DVD player; ours has a missing power cord and I couldn’t bring myself to buy another one just because we were missing a power cord so we did the 11 hour drive without. My phone {thanks to a sweet little Kindle ap} kept me sane, and when things got insane in the backseat I hit up YouTube and Kipper clips to keep the rovers happy in the backseat!
And… around here, like I mentioned earlier, COLD & RAINY! Erika and I have been doing a lot of nothing, besides sipping coffee, tea, and keeping ourselves curled up with blankets, books & magazines. And Erika keeps us all posted on the forecast…
The kids are having an absolute blast and Rover has been so sweet to Sloane.
I showed you the Camp House this summer and it’s still under construction… Daddy Boy wouldn’t want his son-in-laws to be bored while they were here!
In the spirit of giving thanks…
I am thankful for…
my loving Heavenly Father & His unmerited grace!
my loving husband!
my sweet, sweet children!
and their health!
my sister!
my parents!
and for all of my family & friends!
And… I am thankful for all of you! You are such a source of encouragement to me and a wealth of knowledge! I hope and pray that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving in the company of those you love!
We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing;in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-18

November 25, 2010 at 10:23 amHappy Thanksgiving Miss Darby and to your beautiful family! We received our HB Tees in the mail yesterday and wore them last night to our city’s Fantasy of Trees. We got LOTS of compliments on them! My husband even wore his (navy long sleeved vintage grand wagoneer with tree on top) and got the most compliments of all! They’re a huge hit! Thank you Darby for using your gifts and talents to inspire all who read your blog. We are thankful for you too!

November 25, 2010 at 11:04 amThankgsgiving greetings from rainy and chilly southern Ohio! Your blog is such a little happy place and a source of encouragement to me as a stay at home mamma with two “rovers”. It reminds me to be grateful for the sweet little moments we share with our children and have to a sense of humor about the less glamorous ones. Enjoy the time with your sister & parents. Happy Thanksgiving!!

November 26, 2010 at 8:21 pmHappy Thanksgiving! You are definitely blessed, such a beautiful family. I have to ask – what kind of car do you drive that you can get three kiddos in a row in the backseat, all in car seats? We just found out we’re expecting #3 (yippee!) and I had just assumed we were on the road to minivan land, which I am so not ready to embrace. You can email me if you’d prefer – bright-designs AT hotmail DOT com.
