Watched a little rover eat a s’more? It might be the sweetest, stickiest, and by far the best entertainment we could find around here tonight. We started on the floor but quickly realized the table was better suited to handle the stickiness!
ps- That’s Mom in the background… she’s back! 🙂 And I hope to see you rovers tomorrow.
SaraFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:09 pm
These pictures make me want to wake my son up and give him another squeeze tonight (clearly not a good idea with a sleeping toddler :)). Thanks for sharing, Darby…your blog continues to inspire.
SherryFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:18 pm
So jealous…I see someone wearing flip flops 🙁 We are supposed to get snow tonight. I’m so over winter. Ready for s’mores!
McCallFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:23 pm
Oh my word, Darby! HE IS SO BIG! And oh so very handsome! Btw, I was looking at your renovations lately and was curious about the progress on your bathrooms….any word there?
AlliFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:36 pm
I saw these smores today..
I think your rovers could handle those!
NelleFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:42 pm
Truly joyful. My face hurts from smiling. Nite nite.
The MomFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:49 pm
Oh happy happy happy! The simple pleasures in life are indeed, the best! Like having your Momma drive back from your sister’s for another round. God is good, is He not? Enjoy the respite that her visit affords you and let the minor things go! You are makin’ more than s’mores…you are makin’ memories!
BetsyFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:59 pm
Is it my imagination or is rover losing his baby look….he looks like a big boy in these pictures

He makes them look so good!! My Husband and I treat ourselves to smores every summer when we can get away to his family’s cabin in the woods. Your Rover makes me want to treat ourselves even when we aren’t camping!

AmandaFebruary 25, 2011 at 8:34 am
This makes me want smores immediately! We went camping (in an RV, not a tent) this summer and my sister and I went to Walmart at 11:30pm to get the stuff to make them. So we were up with a 3 year old eating smores after midnight but it was so worth it!!
Melanie MarshFebruary 25, 2011 at 8:35 am
precious! I think smores are on the list for weekend treats at my house, now!

Adorable! He is so full of joy, I can’t help but think that this is the joyful life that our Heavenly Father wants us to live in everyday!
He would smile, laugh at us, take our picture and proudly display it for everyone to see! Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend! I wish it was as warm here as it seems to be where you are. 🙂

Oh my goodness! These photos are exceptional! You’ll have to remember them for his graduation or rehearsal dinner slide shows. Such pure, uninhibited, joy!
AmandaFebruary 25, 2011 at 2:44 pm
love these!! The unadulterated JOY is priceless. Enjoy your mom! (How could you not??) May I ask a silly question? What are the appliances under the microwave? Are they refrigerator drawers? Or dish washing drawers? A wine chiller?
JamiFebruary 25, 2011 at 3:43 pm

Love to see his sweet enjoyment and delight! Thanks for sharing.
KelleyFebruary 27, 2011 at 12:32 pm
Sweet, sweet fella.
We made s’mores last night as well with our extended family. Lots of sticky, happy cousins (and a happy mama, too, if I’m being honest here.)
kateMarch 6, 2011 at 12:25 pm
Not that it is in anyway more adorable than that sweet boy but your kitchen is so attractive. Headed on over to the reno page and could not find any mention of the appliances. Am considering the fridge/freezer similar to yours and was hoping for some info on any or all of the lovely stainless you have. Thanks for any links.
