I’ve got a few too many irons in my fire. This effects my ability to connect brainwaves and list t-shirts & sweatshirts properly in the shop. Yesterday morning I ran to the bank, then I ran home {not literally, I don’t run}… and then I looked at the computer and realized you rovers took full advantage of the blue light special {thank you!}… and then I realized I didn’t have the shipping calculator set properly. I tried to look through and sort it all out, which I did eventually get it sorted out, after they all had sold. In a nutshell, if you ordered 1 {or a bunch} sweatshirts it only charged $4.90. To ship 2 to 3 sweatshirts it will cost considerably more than that. I’m going to go ahead take that one for the team… and hope maybe that you all will be repeat customers!? The time it would take to invoice you for the actual cost the listing said it would charge and get it all sorted out would cause me great strife. So it is what it is and I’m getting all too good at learning lessons the hard way. That wasn’t the only snag, I also OVER CHARGED for shipping on some of the t-shirts. I will not, however, be keeping that money to cover the cost of under charging on the sweat shirt listings… but don’t give me too much credit… I thought about it briefly! 🙂 Those of you who were over-charged for shipping will be receiving a refund for exorbitant shipping charges today.
Similar to how I didn’t literally “run” to the bank, my flowers from yesterday’s post don’t literally last “FOREVER”, I didn’t even know I had written that until I started getting comments asking where I found my pretty fake flowers. “Forever” in my book {as far as flowers go} is about 2 weeks. These are from the local Winn Dixie and because they’re mums {spider mums, I think} they have a much longer life! I need to watch my exaggerations, I kept thinking, “why do these rovers think my flowers are fake?” and obviously, it’s because I implied they were!
Also, this is random, but Cam Newton is going to NFL, and now the NFL has a new fan! I know what I’ll be doing on Sunday and Monday nights next year, while my husband sofa jumps.
Can we have a moment of silence…
my baby is in a big boy bed.
In exchange for a stack of tee shirts, my friend Marla gave me this beautiful bed {originally from KMart, which is also where I found the girls beds… I do love a blue light special}. Marla spray painted it gray; I love the color and think it works perfect in his room! I certainly got the better end of that deal! I’m also thankful that she has it set up with two headboards, because of the configuration of his room, I plan to eventually place against the wall and use it as a daybed so it was a double score that she had 2 headboards!
It is currently in front of the windows because I can’t bring myself to take down the crib yet, I’ve had a crib in my house for 6 years and 3 months, we’ll need another moment of silence when it comes down.
I found all of his bedding in our linen closet. I love it when that happens! The popcorn chenille throw was an estate sale find from our neighbor’s house a few years ago. The quilt was a $10 {or maybe $15} antique store find, it seems to be made of mens button down shirts. The big golden retriever is from IKEA.
I’ve yet {at this stage of motherhood} to find a side rail that looks cute. I’m sure they’re out there but for now it’s your typical white mesh… which really works fine, just wish it went with my motif. 🙂
I found shades for my Humpty Dumpty lamps at Target and a low wattage light bulb gives just enough light at night to read about “moo moo’s and nay nay’s”.
The very best part of all… he stays in his bed for naps and bedtime!! Way to go little BIG BOY!
Stay warm this weekend and enjoy time with your family… and as always, thanks for being the great rovers that you are!
