Ahhhh… it worked!
PTL.
That’s what Shireen kept saying on gmail chat yesterday. I had no clue what she was talking about. I don’t text very often and I’m not up with the latest acronynms. I had to stop her and explain that I didn’t know what PTL was…. she kindly offered her expertise: Praise The Lord, and also informed me that she didn’t know what it meant until someone else explained it to her. So, I say PTL that the blog move seemed to work fairly flawlessly. I’m hoping y’all are comin’ with me.
Speaking of things technical in nature…. do y’all Facebook? Do you know what I think about Facebook? Besides the fact that you can waste a LOT of time on there. I think they should have a pop up warning everytime you log on. It would look something like this:
I am not off to check facebook statuses… I’m off to bed!
Good night!

February 17, 2009 at 7:48 amDarby this is SO pretty! Loving the new header more than words can express. In total agreement on the facebook thing. I just started a couple of months ago and I see it could be very dangerous, as if I don’t spend enough time online browsing blogs!:-) Anyway, love the new address, can’t wait to see more.

February 17, 2009 at 8:39 amIt looks great – I’ve been contemplating a change, too, but don’t quite know what direction to go. I can’t believe I haven’t made the Facebook and dream connection yet, but it’s totally true! Last night I dreamed I couldn’t remember the combination to my locker . . .

February 17, 2009 at 1:22 pmDarby- That is too funny that your mention weird dreams and facebook….. it tends to happen to me a lot! And being that I am pregnant I feel that these dreams are even more strange and I tend to remember every second of them!! Logging on to facebook at 2 am when I can’t sleep does not help either!! Love the new blog!

February 17, 2009 at 1:27 pmCongratulations on your new address! 🙂 Glad the move went smoothly.
I love your new header as well – adorable! I’ve been meaning to order a personalized print from saratams on etsy ever since you featured it w/ some of your faves around the holidays. This is a good reminder. There’s a wall in the kids playroom crying out for one of those prints!
FB is completely addictive and it’s amazing how all of a sudden people you haven’t thought about in years are a regular part of your day. Fun and weird at the same time! 🙂 I also laugh b/c I can’t believe the things I remember out of the blue – phrases and jokes that have been lying dormant in my head have been reawakened. It’s as if I were still in high school!

February 17, 2009 at 2:05 pmHey…I am here…cute heading! I am scared I will forget the address…but I think you will leave the old one up for a while to get me here? So glad it worked…now, I am curious…why did you move it? Mandy

February 17, 2009 at 2:23 pmFirst time commenter, but faithful reader.
Darby, you are incredibly – creatively clever.
My family and I moved from B’ham, AL in May of last year and a few months ago landed on your blog via BBTN. To my surprise, it was the post where you were posing in your newly made apron (adorable by the way) and my heart skipped a beat because your kitchen looked just like our B’ham home kitchen (from the photo) right down to the two different cabinet/drawer knows and handles. For a (very) brief moment I thought it was our beloved home.
Any who, love the header, love your blog.
Warmly,Andi

February 18, 2009 at 6:10 amHi! I love the title of this post!! 😉 You’re too cute, girl!
I like the new blog, but I’m curious why?
I might try to ring you today just to catch up.
Both Rhys and I had GREAT dr’s appointments this week, so we’ve been on the go! 🙂 AND I got my hair cut again! Rhys went with me! 🙂 He is doing great as my little partner!
Okay, I hope to talk today. I did get your IM last night, but you were signed off before I could turn around to the computer! 🙂 Russell just got home, and we were enjoying dinner together before I collapsed on the sofa, Rhys and my head in Russell’s lap! 🙂
Don’t you just LOVE it!? 🙂
